Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special
VRSCDX Night Rod™ Special Model Overview
As a new VRSC model and the evil twin brother of the Night Rod, the VRSCDX Night Rod Special provides wicked style and performance. With an all-black finished 1130cc Revolution powertrain pounding out 120 horsepower and 80 ft. lbs. of torque, the VRSCDX Night Rod Special reflects the elite end of the power cruiser segment. Keeping the Night Rod Special on the dark side are black features like the frame, forks, triple clamps, swing arm and Black Machined Slotted Disc Cast Aluminum wheels with orange pin-striping. Taking the Night Rod Special further into the heart of darkness are a color-matched speed screen visor, brushed Straight-shot Dual exhaust with black end caps and exhaust shields, and a black-on-black racing stripe paint scheme. A five-gallon fuel tank lies under a newly restyled, low seat, combined with forward controls and drag style handlebar for a comfortable ride. A Gift for Me from Me

Now I have a motorcycle Naza GTR150X, a Sony Cyber-shot model DSC-H50 and now the latest to join the family of ME is the Sony PSP 2nd Generation Model. Equipped with 8GB memory stick, games and etc.etc. Hahaha...Best.Best.

Labuan

One of the places I went while working in Brunei is to Labuan. Here is the story.....

Labuan, Pearl of Borneo (so they called it in the brochure) is one of Asia's best kept secrets. Surrounding coral reefs provide a glimpse into the fascinating and delicate marine eco-system. Secluded beaches on nearby islands offer quite solitude. Labuan enjoys many special privileges and facilities.

Labuan's Islands:-
Kuraman Island
Rusukan Besar Island
Rusukan Kecil

(Didn't went to the islands cause not enough time maybe some other day)

Places of Interest:-
-Peace Park
Situated at Layang-Layangan. This beautifully landscapped park was built as a memorial and renunciation of the horrors of war. A huge man-made mound is the focal point and there is a plaque signiffying the renunciation of war.

-Japanese Surrender Point
Also at Layang-Layangan (just beside the Peace Park around 20 steps away.....hahaha...;-p). This is where the 37th Japanese Sothern Army surrendered to the 9th Division Australian Imperial Forces on 9th September 1945 which led to the end of WWII in Borneo. It is also in this area that South East Asia's first ever war crime trials were conducted (As where in Europe the Nazi Third Reich Army war crime trials were conducted in Nuremberg).

-World War II Memorial
This is Malaysia's largest war grave. Some 3,908 soldiers mostly Australian, British and Indian are buried here. The place was peaceful looking (like DUH~ its a graveyard).

-Labuan Museum
Labuan Museum displays the history and culture of Labuan. Its history covers the pre-historic era of Labuan, Brunei Sultanate, British Colonial Days, WWII, Independence, declaration of Labuan as a federal territory up to the establishment of Labuan Corporation.

The places I mentioned above is where I have visited. There is still more but the we don't have the time and also we missed out the Chimney (supposedly Labuan's most well-known landmark because of it's history of the actual purpose of building the Chimney is still a mystery...Abid's fault thinking it was an institute.Hahaha...;-p). Other Places of Interest:-

-Botanical Garden(flora of course)
-Labuan International Sea Sports Complex
-Birds Park (of course just birds only...DUH~)
-Water Village
-Labuan Square
-Marine Park(you get the idea right???)
-The Chimney(should go here...don't missed it cause we do...hahaha...;-p)
-Labuan Marine Museum

There is still more beaches and temples and the tax free shopping arcades (chocolates, tobacco and alcoholic drinks are the only cheaps one's...other things is like in KL okay!!!)

So ENJOY!!!

so more pics from the trip to Labuan.....

In Memories

Assalamualaikum...

Hi All, it has been exactly two weeks since the passing of my late father Allahyarham Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussin. Today I have the courage to write in my blog a little bit of this and that about him. Let me tell you something about him.

Bio:
Name: Abdullah Bin Hussin registered in his birth certificate. (Allahyarham only uses the Sheikh when he was appliying for his IC during his teenager years)

D.O.B: 20th March 1947

D.O.D: 26th March 2009 (He was 62 years old and plus minus 5 days)

C.O.D: Heart Attack

Life & Achivements:

Allahyarham Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussin was born on the 20th of March in the year 1947. Born to Hussin Bin Salleh (as far as I know) who is an Arab from Hadrammaut, Yemen that came to the Tanah Melayu an opened up a textile business. His late father business strech all the way from Kota Tinggi to Pontian. Little known about his mother Fatimah because his mother died at a young age of 21 having the TB virus.

Allahyarham Sheikh Abdullah has 2 siblings, the eldest is his brother Allahyarham Mohamed (passed away in the early 1990's at the age of 40+) and he has a younger sister Mon Binti Hussin which is still alive and Allahyarham is the 2nd sibling out of the three. His father remarried again and gotten another 7 more siblings, 6 sons and 1 daughter. They are very close to one another and since the passings of the eldest brother, Allahyarham Sheikh Abdullah has gotten the respect as the eldest sibling in the family.

The late Sheikh Abdullah childhood life is not crystal clear for me because he seldom talks about it to me. He was brought up in Johor Bahru as far as I'm concern. I can't remember whats the name of his school. He was very close to his brother Allhyarham Mohamed.

He is known to work with his father selling textile, if anyone to ask how well he knows about the fabrics he is an expert without doubt. By the touch of the surface of the fabric he knows what kind and where it came from. Allah gift to him but none of his sons and daughters have that touch. Then he became a Navy Soldier and got married with my mother in 1968.

I don't know how long he served with the country but it was not that long. Next he worked and sells meat and poultry in the market and also runs the business of importing the meats to Malaysia and also opened up another business selling textiles in Komtar Johor Bahru. All of this doesn't last that long and the cause cannot be disclosed.

Allahyarham Sheikh Abdullah can be said as an ego man but with kind heart. He is very straight forward. To deal with this man there is no hanky panky. You want to talk to him tell him the truth he will understand. He is very knowledgable, you can discuss with him about politics (home and foreign) sports, cars and etc.

Allahyarham had lived a happy life for the last 62 years and now he is with God. So long Abah, there isn't a day that I wont miss you. All of you are in me, all the good and bad times will live in my memories for eternity. Thanks for all the sacrifice you have given me. Thanks for all the love in world you had shown me. I only can repay by praying for you everyday and night for your safety in your life hereafter. Forgive me for all my sins to you.

Al-Fatihah...

On the last night before he died the next morning he was with my sister and he gave a farewell song to her and to us in which he has ask us to listen to the lyrics as a sign he will depart from this earth soon...

Andai Ku Tahu

Andai ku tahu
Kapan tiba ajalku
Ku akan memohon tuhan tolong panjangkan umurku

Andai ku tahu
Kapan tiba masaku
Ku akan memohon tuhan jangan kau ambil nyawaku
Aku takut akan semua dosa dosaku
Aku takut dosa yg terus membayangiku

Andai ku tahu
Malaikatmu kan menjemputku
Izinkan aku mengucap kata taubat padamu
Aku takut akan semua dosa dosaku
Aku takut dosa yg terus membayangiku

Ampuni aku dari segala dosa dosaku
Ampuni aku menangis ku bertaubat padamu
Aku manusia yang takut neraka
Namun aku juga tak pantas disurga

Andai ku tahu
Kapan tiba ajalku
Izinkan aku mengucap kata taubat padamu
Aku takut akan semua dosa dosaku
Aku takut dosa yg terus membayangiku
Ampuni aku dari segala dosa dosaku
Ampuni aku menangis ku bertaubat padamu
